Glenn Hughes – Music For The Divine – Frontiers There have been few rock vocalists to come along and have such a profound effect on melodic rock like Glenn Hughes has. From the days with Trapeze and playing on the three best Deep Purple records to a long solo career while performing with some of the best players in the industry, he can be matched by only a few. He has now issued what I think is on of his best effort to date with Music For The Divine. His hard rock mixed with funk roots show through so cleanly on this record. His use of keyboards for wall of sound effects to his own voice being the centerpiece instrument makes these 11 tracks standout so profusely. J.J. Marsh lends such melodic guitar lines to the affair and Chad Smith pumps his drumming skills into the mix as well. If you are a big fan of Glenn then this record will make your collection stand out further. Amazing record hands down. Jeff Easton |
