John 5 - The Devil Knows My Name - Chrysalis 

John 5, the journeyman axe slinger best known for his duties for Marilyn Manson and more recently Rob Zombie, has now dealt his own bit of thunder.   The Devil Knows My Name, a brilliantly played instrumental release, takes his skills to the next level and then some.   Just playing one kind of metal might have its limitations but this shows he has different sides to his arsenal and not afraid to take chances.  This 1 track varies from the raging metal of Dead Art Plainfield to the splendor of Bella Kiss.  This also features and instrumetal of Welcome To The Jungle and he truly makes it his own.   He does have guests of high distinction as well like Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson to flesh out this unique outing.   Instrumental albums have been around  but when they are distinctive and as powerful as this one then they deserve notoriety.  This is one of them.
