EkoTren
- Light The Fire - Blind Prophecy Fashioning
their name from a pain killer, which is something that their music is not,
EkoTren are poised to break out of their native Florida and take the
metal world by storm. Taking the pure aggression of what makes the Lamb Of Gods of
the world happen and mixing with an unusual dose of melody and pure choruses,
they have definitely taken a road less traveled.
Aggression is everywhere, every band is doing but they do not know, for
the most part, how to fuse what makes a song memorable.
EkoTren have left that mold in the dust.
They have “singers” in the band and it does make for a different
experience. Not to say they are
less aggressive because that simply is not the case.
John Sheldon, the enigmatic front man, can scream and growl for days,
going for your jugular and not letting go.
The guitars supplied by Keith Finnell are razor sharp and compliment
Steve Chin’s excellent work with the keys.
Drummer Eric Pottle and bassist Derek DeSantis supply a brutal rhythm
section that creates the final damage for this disc.
This 11 track disc is full of powerful statements from a band with a
vision, buy into it, you will not regret it. CD
