Cavalera
Conspiracy - Inflikted - Roadrunner The
name of the band says it all, it is truly the brothers Cavalera back together
once again to shake your brains loose from their foundation.
Igor had just recently left the mighty Sepultura and Max is still rolling
heavily with Soulfly whose last CD, Dark
Ages, was an exceptional release. So
why do this now? Because they can. The Cavalera brothers are responsible for some of the best
metal released in the last 20 years and this disc is no exception.
This is what the fans have been waiting for, a no compromised, no frills
no bullshit release that will pop you across the face with a monster fist.
No they are not trying to rewrite metal history as they have already
created it, they are showing you that they indeed know to bang it harder than
anybody else and they have no
problem showing you. The 11 tracks
on my promo are one tale of brutality after another and there is room for fluff
or crap. The rhythms are
unrelentingly heavy, the guitars are full blown and Max is pissed off, period. Igor shows here that even though Sepultura took a turn south
for awhile that he has not his pummeling style and
has not slowed an inch. Max
does have a small horde of guests here, most notably Rex from Pantera and Marc
from Soulfly. If unrelenting brutality is what you want in your metal then the
debut from Cavalera Conspiracy, Inflikted, is your drug of choice.
