Primordial
- To The Nameless Dead - Metal
Blade Primordial’s
second record for Metal Blade finds them leaping beyond The Gathering Wilderness
into darker territory if that was possible.
Digging deeper into bleak tones and dark lyrics they have unleashed what
I feel is their definitive record. It is said that this disc deals with
Nationhood, gathering up land with out any real meaning of having your own land
or any or any ties. The results from that are alienation and losing faith,
something we see to much these days with all of our electronic devices that we
so depend on. Do you see a
connection to this record and the way that we live?
The singer, A.A. Nemtheanga, pushes the envelope with his vocals as he
pushes the message down your throat. But
when you HEAR it, does the message matter sometimes?
In this case it is 50/50 because with this disc you are made to FEEL the
music, the wall of dark metal that envelopes you as you play it.
This band creates metal like no other, they create Music like no other.
If I had to compare them to anyone, I would call them the Nevermore of
Europe but I hate comparisons so I will not go there.
This will be the metal record of the year, I do not care what comes after
because whatever does, will have a long hill to climb to reach “To The
Nameless Dead”. CD
