Sahg II - Regain

Doom has many areas to roam and Sahg have taken the darkest of routes.   With Sahg II they have delved deep into their imaginations to pull up the rawest emotions and the darkest illustrations.  They also have the ability to tear your head off without having to play at bludgeoning speeds that most other bands need.  The 9 tracks encased in this dark masquerade take you on a psychic journey through walls of haunting guitars and brain bending vocals while floating on a thick vessel of rhythm. Ascent to Decadence opens the affair and you are immediately transformed.  From Conscious Sleep is a hypnotic instrumental that prepares you for the affects that Star Crossed will have on you as the bass lines wrap around your head.  Escape The Crimson Sun is another exceptional track with bending acoustics and unreal vocals that eat away at your ear drums.  Lead guitars seep through the songs but nowhere else do they shine than in Pyromancer, almost a throwback to Captain Beyond with its feel. This the way a doomish sounding record should be and this is as close to perfection as it will get.
