Kataklysm
- Prevail - Nuclear Blast For
the better half of the last decade and a half Kataklysm have spread destruction
across the globe with their brand of brutal metal.
With Prevail, they have unleashed what I feel is their most devastating
effort yet and they will rule the death metal waste land for 2008.
What Kataklysm have unleashed is not your normal Metal affair.
They have put upon the public 10 tracks that defy the normal route of
extreme bands but yet have infused melody into the destruction.
Maurizio Iacono and company are superior writers who dare to go deeper
into your head while the music grinds your brains.
The lyrics are there for you to investigate as they are not the kill or
be killed variety so to speak.
To propel the sinister music is the production from JF, who has yet again
stepped up to the task of creating another legendary Kataklysm disc.
Is this the death metal release of the year, that is for you to decide
but as for me it is and their best release period. CD
